Good evening, this is Mrs. Taylor proud principal of Warren Central High School reaching out with a few friendly reminders and updates.
Missing work is due for Quarter 1 this Monday September 19th! Please make sure your student submits any outstanding assignments before the deadline. The Quarter 1 Grading period ends on 9/23 and grades should be available in Parent VUE by 9/28. In addition, throughout the year please note that if your student is needing additional help or support on assignments or course content tutoring is regularly offered Mondays and Thursdays from 2:30-3:45. Also, we are continuing to prepare for the PSAT that will take place on Tuesday October 25th. We will be releasing students after testing and lunch at approximately 1:30 PM on Tuesday 10/25. Seniors on October 25th will not be required to attend school but will be encouraged to use this day to visit colleges, explore career opportunities, and participate in community service/service learning opportunities.
Finally, Fall Break will run October 3-14th. Fall Break Bootcamp will take place on October 3rd - October 5th from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM with the option of lunch from 12:00 PM - 12: 30 PM for students to work on Edmentum courses, complete "buy back" assignments to earn back points, and prepare for the PSAT/SAT. More information can be found in cohort newsletters and the school newsletter. Students will need to sign up to reserve their spot. Transportation will be provided.
As always please continue to push for a 97% attendance for all students. Continue to encourage your student to show up daily, on time, and ready to learn.
