Good evening this is Rich Shepler, principal of Warren Central High School. As we near the end of the 2020-2021 school year, I would like to remind all students to stay positive, work hard, make it happen, and finish strong.
Attention AP students, be sure to check your email for important instructions on AP testing dates, locations, and times. If you have any questions, please reach out to your AP teacher or school counselor for assistance.
Senior families, please be reminded that seniors must complete all graduation requirements by May 28th, in order to participate in the graduation ceremonies taking place on June 3rd and 4th in our Performing Arts Center.
This week is a celebration for our seniors. Seniors will have themed dress-up days and fun activities to commemorate their senior year. Senior students should not bring any props that will interfere with the learning environment. Links to these senior events are included in this message.
The senior luncheon will be held on Tuesday, May 18th, a Gold Day, and Wednesday, May 19th, a Black Day. To enter the luncheon, seniors will need to wear their caps and gown. Seniors, if you missed cap and gown pick up last week, they will be available in the bookstore for pick up.
The class of 2021 congratulatory yard signs will be distributed to families following the graduation ceremony.
As a reminder, high school students will have two options for instruction for the 2021-22 school year. Students may attend full-time, in person, or apply to attend our Warren Online Academy. The application for the Warren Online Academy is included in this message and there will be a limited capacity for the amount of students that will be enrolled in the program. The Warren Online Academy will be asynchronous instruction, meaning students will be required to complete work independently without daily live instruction from a teacher.
Lastly, please make note of the following end-of-year change. Our scheduled last two days of final exams will be on Thursday, May 27th, and Friday, May 28th with an early release time of 1:20 pm. Seventh period final exams will be moved to Tuesday, May 25th, and Wednesday, May 26th. Please avoid scheduling appointments and vacations during this time. Thank you so much for your time and have a great evening.
