Good afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff,
A few important updates are below:
I want to thank Mother Nature for being a little nicer to us this week than she was last week. I appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we navigated the weather last week. I want to thank our teachers and students for their participation in our eLearning days on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Just a reminder that our food distributions are on Tuesdays from 8:00 - 9:30 AM and 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Moorhead Community Resource Center. If you have needs beyond what is being offered, you can call our outreach hotline at 317-608-0545 or email at MSDWarrenOutreach@warren.k12.in.us with your request.
It is normal for this time of the year to have job openings throughout our district for the remainder of this school year and for next school year. If you are interested in or know someone who might be interested in working in Warren or with Chartwells food service, please visit our Human Resources page under the Explore Tab. If you are a teacher looking to work in an outstanding district, please consider attending our virtual Teacher Recruitment Fair on Thursday March 11th from 4:30 - 7:30. You can register for the event here or by visiting our website and clicking on Prospective Employees under the Human Resources tab.
It is good to see our local and state COVID data trending in the right direction and we hope it continues. That being said, Warren will be committing to its current models until further notice. It has always been our goal to provide our students, families and staff with consistency.
I am proud to serve as Superintendent in Warren, a public school district, where we welcome all students into our classrooms. It is unfortunate that many of our Indiana legislators do not acknowledge or support all that public schools do for their students and their communities. I encourage you to be aware of legislation being proposed around funding and other bills related to public education.
Have a great rest of your week and as always, I thank you for your investment in Warren students and schools.
Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township
