Good evening, this is Rich Shepler, principal of Warren Central High School. I speak for all of our staff when I say, it was great to see our students back in the building this week. We do not take for granted the challenges that may come with reacclimating to the school routine and environment and want to assure you that our staff is here to help. Please encourage your students to communicate with a Warren Central staff person if, at any time, they are in need of assistance. The resilience of our students and staff has gotten us this far and we will continue to collaborate as a school community to successfully finish out this year.
Our school counselors are working hard to meet with students to create their schedules for next year. Please be sure that your students are checking their email and Canvas pages for updates and information on scheduling. If you have questions, please reach out to your student’s counselor for assistance.
The 2021 Summer School session will be held from June 7th-June 30th and will be offered at no cost to current Warren Central students. Online registration will begin on Monday, March 1st. Additional information will be sent to students and families later this week. Summer school is a great opportunity to recover credits and work ahead in certain classes. Be sure to carefully review all information about this year’s summer school opportunities.
Make-up ISTEP testing will continue this week. ISTEP testing is mandatory and attendance is required. Hybrid in-person students will make up tests on the days they attend school in person. Virtual students that still need to test should plan to attend on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of this week. Please have students check their email for specific testing details.
Thank you so much for your time and have a great evening.
