Good afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff,
A few important reminders are below:
We are excited to hold our annual legislative forum with our local legislators to discuss bills and other topics that impact our school district and community. The forum is tonight and will begin at 7:00 and can be viewed by using the following link. bit.ly/MSDWarrenLegislativeForum. Viewers will be able to submit questions and comments and the forum will also be recorded and uploaded to our website.
Please remember that there is no school on Monday, February 15th because of President’s Day and Tuesday, February 16th is an eLearning day for all students for our staff professional learning day. We will resume all of our learning models on Wednesday, February 17th. 6th - 12th graders will return to the Hybrid model by following the Black and Gold schedule. The schedule can be located in our SAFE Reopening Plan linked here. Students and families can expect communication from their child’s bus driver and school with information so that they can have a successful transition.
Now that our students are returning to school, we will be making a couple adjustments to our food distribution schedule. Virtual and Hybrid families can pick up food on Tuesdays from either 8:00 - 9:30 AM or 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Moorhead Community Resource Center located at 8400 East 10th Street. This Friday will be our last distribution at Raymond Park Intermediate Middle School and Warren Central High School.
To increase our tech support for students and families, we are expanding our technology help desk hours at Moorhead Community Resource Center. Starting next week, hours will be M-F from 7:30 - 8:30 AM and 11:00 - 1:00 PM. K-4 VIRTUAL students with iPad issues should be brought here. Chromebooks can still be brought to any of the three Intermediate Middle Schools during school hours, 9:00 - 4:00, Monday - Friday or the Chromedesk at the High School during 1st and 2nd period, Monday - Friday. If for some reason you are not able to access the above times and locations, you can also submit a help ticket through IncidentIQ by clicking on Technology Tab under the Explore Tab and then select Parent Tech Info.
From time to time, students and parents will receive emails from Synergy mail via our student information system. Please note that responding directly to the "no reply" email will not reach the intended recipient. Instead, please click on the blue button in the body of the email that reads “Click here to reply to message” so your note gets to the correct person.
As always, I thank you for your continued support of Warren Schools. Be safe and be well.
Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township
