Good afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff,
We have a few important reminders:
Thank you to those who completed our Inclusion and Equity Survey. Your input is very important and appreciated. If you have not completed the survey, you can do so today before it closes. Please visit bit.ly/WarrenEquitySurvey.
This week, we celebrate National School Counseling Week and I would like to acknowledge all of our K-12 Warren Counselors for all that they do to support our students and families, especially this year. We have an incredible counseling team in Warren and I encourage you to take a couple of minutes to thank your child’s counselor this week.
As we prepare for the potential of inclement weather next week, an inclement weather delay and closing FAQ has been created to address this during the IN-PERSON, VIRTUAL, and HYBRID window. The FAQ can be foundhttps://5il.co/oi9a on our website by clicking District Information under the Explore Tab.
With the extreme cold temperatures forecasted for this weekend and next week, I would like to share that our Moorhead Community Resource Center has new coats available for students. Coats can be picked up tomorrow or Friday from 8 AM - 4 PM. If you have questions or additional needs, you can call our outreach hotline at 317-608-0545 or email at MSDWarrenOutreach@warren.k12.in.us with your request.
Last Friday we closed our learning request form for 6th - 8th grade students to select a different learning model. Over the next week or so, our counselors and teachers will be scheduling and communicating with families to prepare for the February 17th return. If you have questions, please reach out to your child’s school.
Next week, MSD Warren School Board and Administration will be hosting our annual legislative forum to discuss proposed legislation that impacts our schools and community. This year, the forum will be held virtually on February 10th from 7:00 - 8:30. I welcome you to join us via Zoom. The link for the virtual forum is bit.ly/MSDWarrenLegislativeForum.
I thank you for your continued support of Warren Schools. Be safe and be well.
Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township
