Greetings, Warrior Nation!
This is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School!
We are back in the swing of things and moving full steam ahead through the semester, focused and determined to ensure that ALL students finish strong!
As we continue to push forward, I encourage families to remain actively engaged in conversations with their students about academic progress and the support needed to be successful. Remember, you can stay informed about your student's grades, attendance, and behavior through ParentVUE. I also encourage you to sit down with your student and review their StudentVUE together. These conversations are important and help us work as partners in supporting student success.
Academic Support Is Available!
Tutoring resumes this week, along with additional academic support during Advisory. I strongly encourage students to take advantage of these opportunities NOW rather than waiting until grades are due to seek help. Remember, your teachers are some of your greatest allies! They are available by email or phone to discuss student progress, answer questions, and identify ways to provide additional support. Let's be proactive, not reactive, when it comes to academic success!
Let's Have Some Fun, Warrior Nation!
This week, we are excited to bring some additional energy and excitement to our school community with our Student Council-sponsored Halloween Spirit Week! We encourage students to participate, show their Warrior spirit, and help us continue building a positive and inclusive school culture. Be sure to check our Sunday Newsletter for the daily spirit themes and important guidelines regarding appropriate and inappropriate costumes. Let's make this a FUN, SAFE, and POSITIVE experience for everyone!
A Few Important Dates and Reminders:
Tuesday, November 3 – No In-Person School / Asynchronous eLearning Day
Students will not report to school as staff participate in professional development. All students will participate in an asynchronous eLearning day. Additional guidance and expectations will be shared.
Tuesday, November 3 – Election Day!
Don't forget to get out and VOTE! Your voice matters, and your vote is an opportunity to make it heard! As a reminder, Warren Central High School's Dome, located on the east end of campus across from the tennis courts, is a designated polling location.
Thursday, November 5 – WCHS/WCC Showcase & 8th Grade Night!
We are excited to open our doors and showcase all the amazing things happening across our campus! From our outstanding academic programs and Career Center opportunities to our award-winning performing arts and athletic programs, there is so much to discover at Warren Central! We encourage our entire community to join us from 5:30–8:30 PM. Even if you don't have an 8th grader, it is never too early or too late to explore all that Warren Central has to offer! Check out our school newsletter for additional details.
Finally, School Safety and Attendance Remain Top Priorities!
As always, we need the continued partnership of our families to maintain a safe, supportive, and productive learning environment. Please remind your students that if they SEE something, they should SAY something. We all have a responsibility to help keep Warrior Nation safe.
Additionally, one of the strongest indicators of student success is consistent school attendance. Every day matters, every minute counts, and every opportunity to learn is important. Let's continue working together to ensure students are PRESENT, ON TIME, and ACTIVELY ENGAGED each and every day!
Thank you for your continued partnership, support, and commitment to Warren Central High School.
Have a great evening!
