Greetings, this is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School and the Renaissance School!
We have officially completed our third full week of school, and I am proud of the hard work and progress our students and staff continue to demonstrate each day. As we move into the next week, I want to share a few important reminders and celebrations.
Mid-Quarter 1 Grades
Friday, August 28, marks the end of Mid-Quarter 1. Teachers will update and post student grades by Wednesday, September 2.
If your student is enrolled in both direct instruction and online courses, you will receive updated grades for both.
Families are encouraged to regularly monitor student progress through:
ParentVUE to view current grades and academic progress.
Edmentum to monitor progress in online courses.
If you have questions about your student's academic progress or would like additional support, please reach out to your student's counselor. You can find your student's assigned counselor by reviewing the Student Services Matrix included in our Sunday newsletter.
On-Time Arrival Matters
Please remember that Renaissance students should arrive at school between 9:00–9:15 a.m.
9:00–9:15 a.m.: Students should be dropped off at Door 40, located off 16th Street.
After 9:15 a.m.: Students should be dropped off at Door 1 and escorted to class.
Arriving late means missing valuable instructional time. Please help us reinforce the importance of being present, on time, and prepared to learn each day.
Celebrating Student Growth & Transitions
I am excited to share that several Renaissance students have successfully transitioned—or are beginning the transition—into the traditional Warren Central High School program.
These students have demonstrated meaningful growth both academically and behaviorally, and we are incredibly proud of their progress. Their success demonstrates what is possible when students commit to meeting expectations, making positive choices, and remaining focused on their academic goals.
If your student is interested in transitioning to the traditional Warren Central High School program, please encourage them to continue working toward meeting expectations and demonstrating academic and behavioral readiness.
