Good evening, this is Rich Shepler, principal of Warren Central High School. We are down to the final two weeks of eLearning for this school year. Warren Central’s school year ends on Friday, May 29th. It is our expectation that all students complete all eLearning assignments in each class they are taking. Elearning will factor into the semester grade which will determine credit attainment and impact a student’s overall GPA. If you are having issues with eLearning materials or access or are facing medical issues, please reach out to your cohort team for assistance.
Seniors, if you have not been able to attend cap and gown pick up we will hold a final makeup session on Monday, May 18th from 1- 3 pm at door 1. This pick up includes caps and gowns, as well as Herff Jones orders of senior items such as key chains, sweatshirts, etc. If you cannot make it during this time, please reach out to the senior cohort as soon as possible so that other arrangements can be made.
As a reminder, all senior cap and gown photos must be uploaded through Marching Order by midnight on May 20th. You should have received an email titled “graduation” at your school email address from Marching Order. If you do not see the email please check your spam folder. The email contains student-specific login information as well as the link for accessing the website for uploading information and your cap and gown photo. You will enter names with phonetic spellings and have the option to record your name so that the reader will say it correctly. If you cannot find this email, again, please reach out to the senior cohort team.
As the school year comes to an end, it is important for us to return your student’s personal items. We have developed a plan for item retrieval via a drive-through service the week of June 1st. If you have personal items at school you want to retrieve, please complete this survey (bit.ly/endofyearpickup) to assist us. Warren staff will be packing up these items over the next few weeks to prepare for distribution. We will also be collecting school-issued textbooks, library books, JROTC uniforms, instruments, rental calculators, and other school-issued items.
Finally, the Indiana Department of Education is collecting information to help schools plan and prepare for the next school year. Please help us in our planning efforts by completing the following Parent and Caregiver Survey using the Warren Township Family Survey Link on our website.
Thank you and have a good evening.
