WCHS

Greetings, this is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School!

Good evening,

What a wonderful end to last week as we saw several of our Warrior teams in action. I encourage you to get out and support our Warriors. In season now are our girls and boys soccer, boys tennis, girl's golf, girl's volleyball, the Warrior Gold Brigade, boy's and girl's cross country, and girl's flag football. Our Warrior football team will have their official season opener at home against Center Grove this Friday at 7pm. Check out our school newsletter to learn how you can purchase sports passes that will get you into all home events for a discounted price. Please note that all Warren students must have their physical student ID to gain entry into school events. Students who have misplaced or lost their IDs can purchase new ones in the bookstore for $5.

We truly love that our students can be their true, unique selves when they enter our campus. We understand and support students expressing themselves through dress, but also want to ensure that students are following the school-issued dress code.

School is a place of work for students, staff, and teachers. Like any place of business or work, there is a standard of expectation regarding dress code. We have been communicating with students about our expectations regarding the dress code.  Please note that the school dress code prohibits excessive skin being on display. This means stomachs, backs, breast, chest, and underwear should be fully covered at all times.

Students found out of dress code will be given an option of a school-issued shirt if it is a coverage issue, or an option for a school appropriate clothing item to be brought in by parent or guardian. Thank you for being so helpful with enforcing our dress code expectations.

Finally, we are tracking tardies to school and to classes. Our school day begins at 7:15 with classes officially starting at 7:20. Doors open for all car riders and drivers at 6:45. Please plan accordingly. Additionally, please note that the car rider line closes at 7:15. All students dropped off after 7:15 should report to door 1 for a late pass. Student drivers should be parking in Lot 8 and should have a school-issued parking pass that can be purchased in the bookstore. I ask that all drivers adhere to the directions of staff, signage, and speed limits to ensure that we are able to keep students and staff safe as they move throughout the parking lot.

As always, thank you for all you do to support your students and to support us in supporting you and your students.

Have a great evening!
