Greetings, this is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School!
It is that time of year again where we are preparing to welcome students back into the building. Please note there are several important dates approaching that we want to ensure our families are aware of. WCHS will host our "Warrior Welcome" July 16th & 17th. The "Warrior Welcome" is our registration days where students will have a chance to have their Student ID pictures taken, pick up their Chromebooks, Access Class Schedules, Turn in or pick up Athletic Physical Forms, Purchase Yearbooks, and Purchase Spirit Wear at a discounted rate. Senior's specifically will have a chance to update their immunization records, request bus transportation, and take their Senior photo in their graduation gown. Please pay close attention to your student's grade level specific "Warrior Welcome" registration time. Senior registration is Wednesday, July 16th from 11-2pm, Freshman registration is Wednesday, July 16th from 3-6pm, Juniors registration is Thursday, July 17th from 11-2pm, and Sophomores registration is Thursday, July 17th from 3-6pm. Students are able to attend registration without a parent or guardian.
Once again, we are excited to welcome students back into the building and look forward to seeing everyone during registration. Additionally, we know that giving back to our community is an important part of our mission as a district and as a school. You have a chance to save a life by donating blood during our mobile blood drive on Wednesday, July 16th. Let's make a difference and save a life. You may register beforehand to donate or on-site.
Finally, because we care about the safety of ALL students, MSD Warren Township and I personally support law enforcement's efforts to uphold State curfew laws. Please ensure your students are aware of the law and abiding by current Indiana Law, which states:
Children 15 - 17 years of age may not be in a public place:
between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Saturday or Sunday
after 11 p.m. on Sunday - Thursday
before 5 a.m. on Monday-Friday
Children younger than fifteen years of age may not be in a public place
after 11 p.m. or before 5 a.m. on any day
Let's make a conscious effort to ensure our youth are safe and outside during appropriate times.
See you soon and stay safe!
