Greetings, this is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School!
I am so excited to begin our Block Scheduling journey. A big thank you to our board who voted to allow for a switch of our instructional model beginning the 2024-2025 school year. In preparation for this switch please be on the lookout for regular communications within our newsletters designed to support everyone on this journey. Additionally, we have created a block schedule specific email that allows you to send any questions or concerns. That email is blockschedule@warren.k12.in.us.
This week we are excited to support Cancer Awareness. We will be raising funds for breast cancer awareness and research. Students are encouraged to participate in Pink Week activities. Our 2nd Pep Rally of the school year will take place this Friday, January 26th. Friday will be a no bag/backpack/large purse and a no Chromebook day similar to the first semester to ensure enough space for all student participation. We will also provide a space for students who choose to opt-out of attending the Pep Rally. More information will go out closer to the date. Lastly, please note that although we aim to have a good time this week, school/classes are still a priority. Please continue to encourage your students to show CORE in all they do as well as showing up on time ready to learn.
Finally, please continue to follow student drop-off expectations and guidance. Student drop-off prior to 7:15 should only be at door 21. The earliest students will be admitted into the building is 6:45 am. Please note with temperatures being what they are, students dropped earlier than 6:45 will have to wait outside until doors open. Door 21 will continue to close/lock at 7:15. Students being dropped off after 7:15 will need to be dropped at door 1. Cars should not be dropping students off at Door 1 prior to 7:15 and students should not be dropped in the staff lots outside of Door 1 at any time. The guidance we are providing serves to keep students and staff safe. Thank you for adhering to our Car rider/drop-off expectations.
As always thank you for all you do to support your students.
Have a great evening.
