Warren Central High School

Good Evening, this is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School!

Wow, what a 1st week back from Fall Break. I want to send a huge shout out to all who made a point to be present this past Wednesday for PSAT testing. We had a 92% attendance rate and students were successfully able to complete their assessments. The information gained from student test results will help inform best practices and instruction for our students moving forward. Thank you for making your students' education a priority. As you know November is right around the corner and before you know it we will be in December and close to wrapping up the semester. The goal is for students to end the semester earning all of their credits and on the right path towards graduation. Many opportunities are available to all students to support them in their course work and I encourage you to have your students take advantage of all these opportunities. Tutoring resumed this past Thursday and will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays moving forward. Friendly reminder that bus transportation is provided every Tuesday for tutoring for those who want to take advantage. Additionally, student athletes may take advantage of study tables which are offered 3 days  throughout the week. Please take advantage of all the support.

Immunization letters have gone out and emails have been sent to students who are missing required immunizations needed to attend school. Please note that we have been mandated to exclude students not in compliance from attending school which means their schedules will be dropped and they will not be able to physically attend classes until in compliance. If you have received a notice regarding your students immunizations status and have questions on the next steps please give your student's cohort office a call and we will assist you on the next steps. The goal is not to exclude so please be proactive in getting your students in compliance.

Finally, this Tuesday is Halloween and we know students are excited to showcase their costumes. Please make sure students adhere to the following guidelines. Students may NOT wear any face covering that covers their entire face, meaning over the head mask, scarves, ski mask, etc. Students may not bring accessories that resemble weapons or items that would be deemed unsafe to school such as toy guns, knives, canes, bats, etc. Also, please note that any costumes that prevent your student or other students from freely moving through the hallways at their normal pace is prohibited. Students should also be able to sit in normal seating in the classroom without blocking the view of other students without needing "special" seating due to the size of their costume. Additionally, any costume deemed offensive, sexual in nature, or showcasing excessive skin will be prohibited. Please note that administration reserves the right to determine what is appropriate or not.

As always, have a great evening and we will see students on time and ready to actively participate in their learning tomorrow morning!
