Sunday Night Message

Greetings, this is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School!

I am so excited to welcome our students back into the building. My hope is that everyone is rested and ready to start this quarter focused and ready to learn. We continue to focus on student attendance and making sure students are actively engaging in their own learning. Please encourage your students to utilize all of their resources and advocate for themselves. The goal is to start and finish the quarter strong.

This week students in grades 9th, 10th, and 11th will take the state mandated PSAT test on Wednesday, October 25th. Students will need to bring their charged Chromebooks to school as the test will be administered on their devices. It is imperative that the devices are already charged when students enter the building and that students bring their chargers with them. There will be a limited number of extra devices and chargers. If students are aware that their devices are not working properly please encourage them to stop by the help desk in the MediaPlex Monday or Tuesday this week to have their devices looked at. Additionally, 12th graders will not attend school on Wednesday, October 25th but will have an Elearning day. Teachers will post assignments via Canvas for completion. 12th-grade attendance will be taken based on the completion of assignments. Wednesday, 9th, 10th, and 11th graders will be released at 1 p.m. Due to this day being an early release please note that we will not permit early releases. Please plan accordingly for any appointments.  All testers will report directly to their testing room on the day of testing. Testing room locations have been emailed to all students.

Finally, as we begin this quarter we will increase our focus on students getting to class on time. Please note that students with excessive tardiness will be subject to school issued consequences which may impact their ability to participate in extracurricular activities and/or attend events. Please discuss with your students the importance of making good choices and moving with a purpose in the hallways.

As always thank you for all you do to support your student and the school.

Have a great evening.
