Greetings, this is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School!
What a great time to be a Warrior. This week we kick off our Homecoming week festivities with Spirit Week. Students are encouraged to show their school spirit by participating in spirit week dress up days. We are excited to bring back a past tradition and will host a Pep Rally this Friday during the day. To ensure we best utilize the space we are asking that students leave backpacks and Chromebooks at home Friday. There will be a safe supervised location for students who do not wish to participate in the Pep Rally. All other students will attend the Pep Rally with their 7th-period classes.
The Homecoming dance will take place on Saturday, September 2nd at Warren Central High School. Students interested in attending may purchase tickets Tuesday-Thursday during their lunch period. IDs are needed to purchase tickets and only cash will be accepted. Additionally, please note that students with 6 or more absences, 14 or more tardies, and those with excessive discipline issues/referrals may be placed on the "no go" list at the discretion of school administration. Please help us remind your students of our expectations of students being at school daily, on time, and ready to learn. Also, as always the expectation is for students to show CORE at all times.
Monday, September 4 there will be no school in recognition of Labor Day and Tuesday, September 5th is a Staff Professional Development day and ELearning Day for students. Students will not attend school Tuesday but will complete work assigned by teachers online. More details will be sent out.
Finally, our goal is to provide a safe learning environment for students and staff. Students involved in altercations, students participating in behaviors that are in direct violation of our Student Success handbook and disrupt the safe learning environment are subject to school disciplinary action and may forfeit their right to attend school at WCHS. Continue to have conversations with your student about the importance of seeking out the assistance of the adults around them and that when they see something say something.
As always thank you for all you do to support your student and thank you for allowing me to serve you and your student.
Have a great evening.
