Good evening, this is Rich Shepler, principal of Warren Central High School.   We are down to the final week of eLearning for this school year.  Warren Central’s school year ends on Friday May 29th.    It is our expectation that all students complete all eLearning assignments in each class they are taking.  Please encourage your student to turn in any outstanding work this week.  Elearning will factor into the semester grade which will determine credit attainment and impact a student’s overall GPA.

Class of 2020 and families, thank you to everyone that submitted cap and gown photos for the virtual graduation.  You all look incredible.  We are working diligently to complete all aspects of the virtual graduation that will air live on Saturday June 13th at 7 pm.   We will share the link through email, our website, and Twitter when it is available.

The graduation committee is still working to plan an in-person celebration when permitted.  We will keep you updated as plans are made.

As the school year comes to an end, it is important to us to return your student’s personal items.  We have developed a plan for item retrieval via a drive-through service the week of June 1st.  If you have personal items at school you want to retrieve, please complete this survey (bit.ly/endofyearpickup) to assist us.  Warren staff will be packing up these items over the next few weeks to prepare for distribution. During this distribution we will have yearbooks, NHS cords, and the items you request on the form available.   Additionally, we are asking that students return any school-issued textbooks, novels, rental calculators, and that seniors return Chromebooks.   Please note:  Athletic and Performing Arts item pick up and return will be scheduled separately.  Please look for announcements from those groups.

The schedule for WCHS/WCC item pick up is as follows:

Wednesday, June 3rd - 12 pm -6 pm (Alpha A-M)

Thursday, June 4th - 12 pm - 6 pm (Alpha N-Z)

Friday, June 5th, 9 am 12pm  (Makeup times)

We will have a drive-thru system set up in Walker Career Center’s industrial Drive.  Please enter through the garage door north of door 70.  We will collect items to be returned as well as distribute items requested through the personal item form.

Thank you and enjoy your Memorial Day holiday.
