Good evening, Warrior families, this is Rich Shepler, principal of Warren Central High School.  While I know this spring break is different than we planned, I hope everyone has been able to get some fresh air and enjoy the warmer weather while still maintaining recommended social distancing guidance from the CDC.  This is a challenging time, but the more vigilant we are now the sooner we will be back together.

I would like to remind all families that we have once again expanded our food distribution plan. We are now offering a Wednesday evening distribution of food at Post Road Christian Church from 5:30 - 7:00. Families should use the south entrance of the church parking lot and go to the Family Life Center door. Again this will be available each Wednesday evening from 5:30-7:00. Our other 9 locations will continue to offer meals Monday - Friday between 11-1.  Each Friday, additional food will be shared to assist families for the weekend.

If you find yourself in need beyond what is being offered, a District Community Outreach hotline and email have been created. You can either call 317-869-4308 or email MSDWarrenOutreach@warren.k12.in.us with your information. Someone from the district will contact you as soon as possible.

Due to the extended closure of our schools until at least May 1st, we are currently working on  eLearning experiences for the month of April. These will be shared with students and families the week of April 13. This will allow our administrators and all of our teachers time to work together to provide a meaningful learning experience for our students.

It has come to my attention that some of you are experiencing issues with your Chromebooks at home.   A drive-thru Chromedesk will be set up beginning Monday April 6th from 11am-1pm at door 70, the main entrance to Walker Career Center.   You can return a non-working Chromebook and have a new one issued, check out a power cord, and/or have account issues addressed. You must have your student ID for new devices or charges to be issued to you.

Additionally, we have posted new information to the Warrior Central canvas page outlining resources for internet access during this time.   As always, if you need additional assistance please reach out to a member of your cohort team. We are always happy to help.

We miss you very much!  We are here to support you.  Please continue to check your email and Canvas regularly.  Remember, you are always welcome to reach out to any staff person if you need additional assistance.  I will continue to keep you updated as new information is available. Thank you all and have a great evening!
