9-1-19

Good evening Warrior families! This is Rich Shepler, Principal of Warren Central High School. We celebrate Homecoming this week. Festivities are scheduled throughout the week gearing up for Friday night lights against the North Central Panthers. Our Homecoming dance is from 8-11pm Saturday. Tickets will be sold during lunchtime in the cafeteria. Students must have their ID’s to purchase tickets and to attend the game. ID’s will be checked during school and at events and should be worn with color coded lanyards at all times.

On another note, selected seniors are taking the ASVAB on Thursday, please have students check their email to see where they are assigned. If they have questions, they can see Mr. Green, Mr. Geimer, or Ms. Linenberg.

As part of our continued emphasis on attendance, we will be holding our first Tardy Intervention Workshop on Saturday, September 7th at 9am. Students and parents who will be required to attend will be notified by office staff, as well as receive further information in the mail. Other workshops will be scheduled throughout the semester.  Attendance is mandatory for students and families who are notified of ongoing attendance and tardy issues. Additionally, as we begin selling Homecoming tickets this week, attendance will be reviewed prior to ticket purchase. Students with 10 or more absences, or 10 or more tardies, will be unable to purchase tickets.

Mark your calendars for parent teacher conferences on September 12th from 6-8pm.  Teachers will be available by appointment or walk in and will be easily accessible in common locations. You may contact teachers using our staff directory on the school's website. Additionally, there will be a senior parent meeting at 6pm. Herff Jones will also be available that evening for senior orders and class ring orders.

Midterm grades are posted. You may access student midterms through Tyler 360/Parent Portal.

Thank you for your time and have a Happy Labor Day!
