After deadly events back home, the Abbot family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Dimmonds, Noah Jupe), has to face the terror of the outside world as they begin to fight for their survival - living by one rule: staying silent. Forced to wander around the unknown, the Abbot family quickly realizes that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats in their path.

In 2018, John Krasinki released a tense thriller called “A Quiet Place.” Set in an apocalyptic world, the Abbot family is forced to live in fear of aliens with hyper-sensitive hearing who are attempting to hunt them.

Fans have been anticipating this sequel ever since the original film's release. However, like many pandemic era films, “A Quiet Place: Chapter II” faced some setbacks, particularly in terms of release date. The film's first set date was for March 2020, but with the pandemic hitting most of the world just earlier that month, it was then rescheduled for September 4, 2020, then pushed back again to April 2020. As of now, “A Quiet Place Part II'' will come out in theatres on May 28, 2021.

Despite the setbacks in the release date, the movie has remained highly anticipated by fans. A mysterious teaser trailer was released showing that the highly-anticipated follow-up to Krasinski's film will follow the remaining members of the Abbott family as they continue to survive in a land filled with alien creatures.

John Krasinski is credited for writing the script this time around, just like he did with “A Quiet Place.” This sequel will be Krasinski's third time as the director on a feature-length film, with “A Quiet Place” and 2016's “The Hollars” already under his belt and the hit NBC comedy series “The Office,” which he also starred on for nine seasons.

This film, like the previous installment in the series, is directed by John Krasinski. Interestingly, Krasinski also stars in both movies, along with his wife, Emily Blunt, who plays Evelyn Abbott. Krasinki has had four Primetime Emmy Award nominations following two Screen Actor Guild Awards. Lead actress Emily Blunt accolades include a Golden Globe Awards, British Academy and Screen Actors Award.

In addition to the movie's theater release, “A Quiet Place Part II” will also be available for streaming on Paramount plus 30-45 days after the release.
