“Transformers One” is set to release on Sept. 20 of this year. It is directed by Josh Cooley and includes some very famous actors such as Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry. It is a fully animated prequel of “Transformers,” the movie in 1986, and follows a different storyline. The movie is made to tell the story of the Transformers before they came to Earth and the early lives of Prime and Megatron before becoming sworn enemies.
The trailer released by Paramount Pictures is very cinematic and fascinating. It covers a wholesome sibling dynamic, making the movie seem realistic, regardless of the characters being robots. Viewers can see the ups and downs of this relationship in just a three-minute trailer. The trailer also showcases lots of action like we’ve seen in past “Transformers” movies. Based on the trailer, the movie will be of great quality even with it being completely animated.
The actors used to voice these characters are really great fits for the movie. They all have experience with action movies and have played their past roles very well. Johansson, Henry and Hemsworth have all had roles in the different Marvel franchises and have had firsthand experience with acting as superheroes. They are some of the most loved characters inside of their films at Marvel. They’ve done extremely well in past roles, and there's no denying that they will also do well in “Transformers One.”
Along with the actors, the director also has incredible skills. Cooley co-wrote the first “Inside Out” and was the director of “Toy Story 4.” Both of these films are Oscar winners. “Inside Out” won “Best Animated Feature” of 2016 and “Toy Story 4” won “Best Animated Film” of 2019. These films have won many other accolades and nominations that confirm Cooley’s talent and the public’s love for his work. It is very impressive and out of this world. His ability to bring a film to life even with non-living characters deserves an award itself.
