Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD is set to be released on June 27. It is a part of the Luigi’s Mansion game series and a remaster of the Nintendo 3DS game, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon. There are currently five other games in the series. The first original game, Luigi’s Mansion, sold over 3.3 million copies. It is one of GameCubes’s best-selling games of all time, and this newest installment in the series is bound to bring the same entertainment to players, as well as nostalgia for fans of the original.
Nintendo announced the release of Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD on March 10, 2023. This was especially exciting because March 10 is National Mario Day. Nintendo describes the game to be a “spooky adventure.” In the trailer, Luigi is seen to be capturing ghosts in multiple locations such as an abandoned plant research lab, a broken-down clock factory and a mine covered in ice and snow. There are multiple floors, three difficulty levels and thirty-four frightening missions to complete.
While the game is a remaster, there will be multiple differences from the original, one being the visuals.
There’s no doubt that the consoles and their quality have improved throughout the years. The graphics will have a much better quality display than before and will run a lot smoother. Players will even be able to play Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD in different ways including on TV, tabletop and handheld. The game is only available on Switch.
In addition to the quality improvements, there will also be a ScareScraper mode. The ScareScraper is a haunted building filled with ghosts. In this mode, players will be allowed to team up with three other people from anywhere in the world to take on multiple thrilling challenges. These challenges will not be a part of the main storyline, and ScareScraper mode will have many of its own mini-games. It does require an active online Nintendo Switch membership. Players will have the ability to play locally, wireless and online.
Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD is very important to new and old players. The original Luigi’s Mansion was very unique and introduced new scenery to the Super Mario World. It was GameCube’s first-ever console game and served as a great source of entertainment. It was also the first time players got to experience a game developed by Nintendo without Luigi being in Mario’s shadow. Nintendo took these ideas and created something even better for Mario World. They’ve done it in the past with Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, and surely they can do it again.
