Change. So many things in our lives are constantly changing. I have learned to adapt to change and the best of the situation that I am in. A significant change in this issue of the Owl is the leadership behind it. While I still remain editor-in-chief, it is getting closer to the end of the year, meaning new leadership will soon take over. Acting as editor-in-chief of this edition of the magazine is Caden Kerr, who will be the next editor-in-chief of the Owl. He is honing in on his leadership skills and preparing to lead an even better team next year. I encourage all of our readers to embrace this change and continue to read our work.
As far as content goes, we are still highlighting all of the fun, exciting and new things happening in our school and community. Our readers can start by hearing our opinion on the effectiveness of the CORE room as well as Ms. Burns’ advice when it comes to financial literacy.
In the news section, we are previewing a variety of happenings, from concerts in Indianapolis to Fiesta Latina. We are also featuring the importance of not being distracted behind the wheel, especially for those teenagers who may be new to driving.
On the entertainment spectrum, we have a great new palette of items in the section. Some notable ones include a preview of the newest Taylor Swift album set to come out later this month, as well as a review of the movie “Imaginary” that came out last month.
Last but not least, spring sports seasons have started, and we are excited to bring you the latest coverage. We are highlighting some of the best players from the spring sports teams, as well as previewing upcoming events.
I encourage you to take a look at all of these stories and truly take some time to read about what is happening in the world around you. Nothing makes us happier as a staff than when we positively impact somebody through our publication.
