It is the 100th year at Warren Central High School, and that means it is time to celebrate. Throughout this school year, our staff will be working to cover these celebrations and bring you all the new information about them. In our publications, specifically, we will be going back in history and visiting what was happening in the past, starting with an exploration of how our own Owl newsmagazine’s looks have changed through time.

Also in this issue, Caden Kerr will be sharing his opinion on gun violence and how it affects people in schools. As a staff, we will express our stance on the dress code in our school. We think it is important that people learn about and take their own stance on the topics, to create a better-informed school environment.

In the news section, we are spreading the word about Pink Week and the history behind it. Along with that, we are sharing information about the fall play, our newest counselors, and college and career readiness week. We believe it is important for readers to be aware of events and causes going on around the school.

We will also be featuring Hispanic Heritage Month, which started two weeks ago today and ends in about another two weeks. With a high percentage of students and staff at Warren with Hispanic heritage, we look forward to celebrating them this month.

As always, we have items to entertain, and in this issue we are excited to tell you about new games, books, movies and music.

And last but not least, the sports section will conclude our issue, bringing you all the sports news from around the athletic department. From featuring standout players to previewing the state tournaments, we have something for everybody to read.

Overall, we are excited to grow our readership and continue to tell the stories of our school, and we hope you enjoy what we have to offer.
