Mr. Trashan Clemons
Q: What are three interesting facts about yourself that people don’t really know?
A: 1. I grill a mean steak.
2. I am an only child.
3. I wanted to be Superman when I was a kid.
Q: What was your motivation for becoming a counselor?
A: I have two reasons: Growing up, I didn’t have my father, so most of my male role models growing up were my educators and coaches. I wanted to work in education and be a positive male role model for all students. Additionally, where I’m from, mental health wasn’t accessible due to a lack of resources and cost of care, so being a school counselor allows me to help students with their mental health at no cost.
Q: Where did you previously work and what was the reason for you leaving?
A: Previously, I was an intern at Muncie Central High School. I left because I graduated from my master’s program and was ready to start my career.
Q: Why did you decide to come to Warren?
A: I heard fantastic things about the history and culture of Warren, and I wanted to be a part of something great.
Q: What are some of your expectations for this year?
A: My goal for this year is to build relationships with students and staff. I’m a people person, and my happiness comes from helping others succeed and making school/work fun.
Mrs. Nicole Raber
Q: What are three interesting facts about yourself that people don’t really know?
A: I am obsessed with sloths. It is my dream to hold a sloth one day!
I love to shop at thrift stores. My home is decorated in all things thrift.
I adore dachshunds but will only rescue them, so I own one full blooded doxie named Murray, one half doxie named Max and one quarter doxie named Molly.
Q:What was your motivation for becoming a counselor?
A: My mother was a school counselor. I watched her make such an impact on kids' lives as I grew up, and I knew that I would like to do that one day too.
Q:Where did you previously work and what was the reason for you leaving?
A: I worked at Lake Central High School in Saint John, Indiana, close to Chicago. It was just way too cold up there…just kidding! My whole family lives in Indianapolis. It was time to be closer to my family.
Q:Why did you decide to come to Warren?
A: I decided to take the position at Warren because of the amazing counseling team and counseling director. You guys are very lucky to have such great people working so hard for you.
Q:What are some of your expectations for this year?
A: I have always hated the word “expectations.” I think sometimes if you have an expectation, you can also be disappointed. I am taking everything one day at a time, keeping a positive attitude, remembering to give myself grace and looking forward to meeting every student on my caseload.
