Teacher: Pam Bailey

Years of teaching: “I have taught for 35 years, all of them at Warren Central.”

Plans for retirement:I just took a job with the Gear-up program through Purdue University as Regional Director. That will put me back at Warren Central two days per week next year.”

Position: “I currently teach physics and dual credit physics, but I have also taught in the math department including geometry, algebra and pre-calculus as well as other courses that we do not teach currently.”

Best memory: My fondest memories come from a time where a class really enjoyed a lab activity, such as treasure hunts in geometry and physics, or firing bows and arrows when studying projectiles. When the students respond, "let’s do that again,"  you know it was successful and fun!

Farewell: Warren Central staff, keep up the good fight!  The students need good teachers, even if they don't appreciate them.  Students, a good education is worth more than you think it is. Education turns into real money after you graduate and get a job! Work hard and get a good education so your future can be bright.

Teacher: Sue Ellen Southerlin

Years of teaching: “I have been teaching 30 years. 25 years being at Warren Central High School.”

Plans for retirement: “I will enjoy spending time with my son who is special needs and my daughter who will be a senior at Eastern Michigan University. We will go see all of her swim meets in her final season.”

Position: “I have always taught Biology and I have taught Zoology for about 15 years.”

Best memory: “It is hard to pick just one moment that stands out.  I have enjoyed my time here and meeting and helping all of the students I have had throughout the years.”

Farewell: “This is a GREAT school, so take advantage of all that it offers! I have worked with some wonderful people over the years and will miss seeing them on a daily basis, but I know we will stay in touch. I am proud to say I have taught at Warren Central High School! Go Warriors!”

Teacher: Michelle Tuttle

Years of teaching: “I have served many students over the past 14 years.”

Plans for retirement: “I am looking forward to the new chapter in my life called retirement. Spending more time with my family and friends, traveling with my husband and exploring new opportunities is what I am most looking forward to.”

Position: “I am a support staff member of the special education department. My primary responsibilities have been to provide support to those students on the Autism spectrum, along with students who have a physical disability. It has been rewarding and a pleasure to work with such a wonderful population of individuals.”

Best memory: “There are many fond memories that come to mind, however, the first day of school each year, the drum line playing in the commons and students realizing they accomplished goals they set for themselves are just a few.”

Farewell: “To the class of 2019, congratulations. I wish you nothing but the best beyond the walls of Warren Central. May you make wise choices and build a network of individuals who challenge you academically and morally. To those students who return in August, you too continue to be safe, make wise choices and explore the many opportunities that Warren has to offer.”
