Good evening, this is Rich Shepler, principal of Warren Central High School.  I want to take this opportunity to thank the entire Warren community for your tremendous and tireless effort over the past year.  It has not been easy and we continue to face hurdles, but we have made it this far together and it will take us all to achieve the results we desire.

We have now completed the third quarter of this school year and I am confident that in the next nine weeks, we can work together to support one another, succeed academically, and end this year better than we started.  Teachers will be accepting late work from the third quarter through this Friday, March 12th.  Please be sure to look up any missing assignments and submit them by Friday.  If you have questions or need assistance please reach out to our classroom teachers or academic coaches.

Our focus for the fourth quarter is to finish strong.  I am asking all students to take advantage of the support being offered whether you need assistance managing stress and feeling overwhelmed or need to catch up on work and recover credits, we are here to help.  Tutoring will continue through the end of the school year along with super Saturdays, and APEX assistance.  Please reach out to your cohort team if you have any questions about these and other opportunities for support.

Juniors and seniors I know you have been anxiously awaiting information about Prom.   Our team has visited a number of venues and researched the opportunities and the risks.  While we were able to find outdoor spaces, we were unable to find a way to maintain a socially distanced dance floor and insure the ability to accurately contact trace if needed.   At this time we do not believe we can safely host a traditional prom.  While we do have a great desire to get back to normal and experience these types of traditions once again, we must be able to do it safely.

Fully virtual students and families, please note:  There has been a recent change to the meal distribution schedule. Families can pick up food on Tuesdays from 8:00-9:30 am or 4:00-6:00 pm at Moorhead Community Resource Center located at 8400 East 10th Street.

As always, please contact your cohort team or our front office if you are in need of assistance.

Thank you, and have a good evening.
