Good evening, this is Rich Shepler, principal of Warren Central High School.   As we enter 2021, we are able to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but we all know we aren’t there yet.  I am asking for your continued support and collaboration as we navigate the second semester.  It is imperative that all students attend their classes on time each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the duration of the class periods.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays, students will be expected to mark their attendance in Canvas, complete application day assignments, and attend learning hub opportunities.   Warrior Family, we must work together to insure our students take advantage of the education they deserve and that our teachers are working so hard to provide for them.  I am challenging every student to be resilient, stay engaged, and earn all credits to build a strong foundation for the future.    As needs arise, and we know they will, please communicate with our staff so that we can support you.

Semester two classes will begin tomorrow,  Monday, January 4th.   Both hybrid and fully virtual students will be on a synchronous schedule.   This means all students will attend live zoom sessions with teachers during periods 1-7 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  Tuesdays and Thursdays will be application days and will allow opportunities for extra academic and social emotional support through learning hubs.   The semester two bell schedule is attached to the email that corresponds with this message and can be found in our Warrior Life Newsletter. (Warrior Life Newsletter)

Our Cohort teams will continue making WOW visits in the second semester.  If you would like to request a home visit, please fill out the form included in the corresponding email.   Additionally, please make sure to read your cohort’s weekly newsletter for grade level specific information.

Please take a few minutes this evening to check your student’s most up to date schedule in Synergy.  Our counseling team has been working hard to make the necessary changes.  Scheduling tips and frequently asked questions will be sent out by your academic coaches to help you navigate any scheduling concerns you may have.   As always, reach out to your counselor if you have concerns about your schedule.

We ask that you continue to check your email, the Warren Township app, and social media for continued updates and important information.

Thank you so much for your time and have a great evening.
