Good evening, this is Rich Shepler, principal of Warren Central High School

I want to thank all students and families for their participation in this week’s virtual learning.  While the engagement was good, it can be better.  We want to see 100% of our students engaging in virtual instruction.   I am challenging all students to fully engage for the next two weeks, attending all Zoom calls, turning in all assignments, completing all assessments, and submitting all makeup work no later than 3 pm on Monday, December 14th.    All of these things will count toward a student’s final semester grade and will be reflected in the permanent high school transcript.

As we plan for the second semester, I want to share with all families that both hybrid and fully virtual students will follow a synchronous, period 1-7 schedule beginning January 4th.  This means that all Warren Central students will be required to log into classes at their scheduled times.  More details will be shared in the coming weeks.

Tutoring is available for high school students on Mondays and Wednesdays in the West Cafeteria from 2:30-4:30 pm.  Transportation home and food will be provided.
We know virtual learning can present challenges.  If you have any technology needs, you can access one of the following supports:

  1. Technology Help Desk at Moorhead Community Resource Center from 10:00 - 2:00, Monday - Friday.
  2. All three Intermediate Middle Schools during school hours.
  3. Chromedesk at the High School during 1st and 2nd period.
  4. Submit a help ticket through IncidentIQ by clicking on Technology under the Explore Tab and then select  Parent Tech Info...

If you have any academic needs:

  1. Please contact your student's teacher(s) for support. Teacher contact information is available on our website and in this week’s newsletter.
  2. Contact your student’s cohort team.  Our cohort teams will be in the community four days a week assisting families with technology, food, and academic needs.
  3. Visit our district website's transition to virtual learning page for more information and resources.

Thank you for your time.  Have a good evening.
