The Lady Warriors Softball Team defeated Lawrence North in the 1st round of the Marion County Softball Tourney 18-10, thanks to a strong start. The Lady Warriors collected 14 hits and Lawrence North had 15 in the high-scoring affair. Sanders led WCHS to victory in the circle. She lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing 12 hits and eight runs. Madison Waggoner threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. The slugfest included 14 hits by the Lady Warriors: Sanders, Strong, Lovins, and Johnson all managed multiple hits and Johnson, Lovins, Strong, and Sanders all had two hits each.
