NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

Eligibility:

Cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or above and three teachers recommendations. Applicants are reviewed
by the NHS faculty council.

Meetings:

7:00 A.M. one Wednesday per month.

Purpose:

To promote scholarship, character, leadership, citizenship, and service to the school and community.

Dues:

$10.00 induction fee

Officers:

President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Activity Coordinator, and Publicity Coordinator are elected in the spring for the following year.

Activities:

Numerous schools and community service projects are sponsored by NHS each year.

Other:

To maintain membership, students must:

• Complete a minimum of 20 hours of service
• Attend at least 8 of the 10 monthly meetings
• Maintain at least a 3.0 cummulative G.P.A.
• Participate in the annual fundraiser
